Introduction to Cut-Off times
If letters are submitted before the Cut-Off time, they are printed and handed over to the post on the next possible occasion. Depending on the letter destination this is either on the same business day or on the next business day. If letters are submitted after the Cut-Off time, they are printed and handed over on the following business day.
Important: No letter printing takes place on weekends and public holidays.
For example, if you submit a letter to Germany on a Friday at 11:30am, it will be printed and handed over to Deutsche Post for delivery on the same day. However, if you send this letter at 12:15pm, the letter will not be handed over to Deutsche Post until Monday, as Monday would be the next business day.
Cut-Off times per Destination Country
Depending on the destination country, the following Cut-Off times apply:
- Switzerland: 12:00pm CE(S)T¹
- Germany: 12:00pm CE(S)T¹
- Austria: 12:00pm CE(S)T³
- Netherlands: 12:00pm CE(S)T¹
- Belgium: 8:00pm CE(S)T²
- France: 12:00pm CE(S)T¹
- United Kingdom: 4:00pm CE(S)T¹
- India: 6:00am CE(S)T²
- Rest of Europe: 10:00am CE(S)T¹
- Rest of the World: 10:00am CE(S)T¹

³ Printing and postal handover on the same business day with Cut-Off on Fridays at 10:00am CE(S)T.
Delivery Products with exceptions
When sending letters as B2 mail to Switzerland or as Economy to Germany, printing may be delayed as letters with these delivery methods benefit from a cheaper rate but may take longer to process.

In the dashboard you will see a countdown for the next Cut-Off time. This shows the cut-off time for the Organisation's default destination country. The countdown already takes into account that no processing takes place on weekends and public holidays.
