Introduction to Presets
Pingen uses Presets to save and automate recurring letter actions. In this way, documents that do not comply with the requirements of Pingen can be prepared for sending quickly and easily.
Advantages of Presets
With Presets, manual letter actions, such as fixes, can be applied with just one click to significantly speed up the preparation process. Presets can also be automatically applied to uploaded PDFs via integrations or API, eliminating the need for manual modifications. For example, if the recipient address is not placed according to the requirements of Pingen or content reaches into the restricted areas, these fixes can be saved in a Preset and applied to future letters.
If the necessary fixes can be easily implemented in your letter template, we recommend modifying the template instead of using Presets.
The following actions can be saved in a Preset:
- Fix Recipient Address: This action can be used to select the recipient address on the first page of the letter and either move it to the address area or copy it to a cover sheet. Learn more
- Fix Restricted Areas: This action automatically removes all content in the restricted areas. Learn more
- Fix Paper Type: With this action, any page that requires a specific special paper that is not available in the recipient country is automatically printed on normal paper. Learn more
- Fix Interactive Elements: This action automatically transforms interactive elements on all pages for printing. Learn more
- Fix Paper Format: With this action, any pages that are not in format A4 portrait will be converted to format A4 portrait (297x210mm). Learn more
- Address from Metadata: This action is intended for users of integrations and developers who provide the recipient address either as metadata in the PDF or via the meta_data - sender API attribute. Learn more
Pricing model
Presets require considerable resources, which is why additional costs incur for each Preset action applied to a letter. These costs are only charged when the letter is sent. This allows you to try out Presets without incurring additional costs. Further information on the costs can be found here
