Autocredit

Using Autocredit, you can automate credit purchases. If Autocredit is enabled, a credit purchase is automatically triggered as soon as the credit balance falls below the defined threshold value.

The threshold is checked every 5 minutes. If the balance is below the specified balance threshold, a Credits purchase is triggered every 5 minutes until the balance is above the balance threshold.

Autocredit is available for the following payment methods:

Mastercard

Visa

Bank Transfer

Enable Autocredit

A prerequisite for enabling the "Autocredit" feature is that a valid and authorised payment method suitable for the "Autocredit" feature is saved. How to save a payment method

Autocredit can be enabled via "Organisation Administration" in the navigation item "Billing & Credits". Click on the "Autocredit" setting and enable the switch. You can then select one of the stored payment methods. Please note that only payment methods that are available for Autocredit are listed here.

Configure Autocredit

Below the payment method, you can specify a " Balance Threshold" and "Credits to be purchased".

Balance Threshold: The threshold value defines the threshold below which the purchase of additional Pingen Credits is triggered.

Credits to be purchased: The number of Credits defines how many Credits are to be purchased automatically when the Pingen balance falls below the threshold value. The number of Credits also controls the amount by which the saved payment method is automatically charged by Pingen.

As for manual Credits purchases, Swiss VAT is charged directly to customers from Switzerland and shown accordingly.

For customers outside Switzerland, Pingen uses the reverse charge procedure. This means that no VAT is charged when Credits are purchased. Instead, the purchase receipt contains a reference to the reverse charge procedure together with all the necessary information. The customer must pay the VAT directly to the relevant tax authorities at the locally applicable VAT rate.

To enable Autocredit, click on the "Save changes" button and accept the Autocredit Agreement.

The threshold value and the number of Credits to be purchased can be adjusted at any time in the Pingen WebApp. It is recommended that both are checked regularly and adjusted to the monthly send volume if necessary.

Autocredit using Bank Transfer

If you use Autocredit with the payment method Bank Transfer, no credits will be purchased automatically. Instead, you will automatically receive a non-binding pro-forma invoice for the purchase of the requested Credits by e-mail as soon as the Balance has fallen below the threshold value.

The pro-forma invoice serves exclusively for the transfer of the amount due for the purchase of the requested Credits. It does not constitute an obligation to pay. If no transfer is made, the pro-forma invoice expires automatically.

Please note that the new Credits will only be credited once payment has been received by Pingen. Depending on the bank used, this may take 1-3 business days.

Disable Autocredit

Autocredit can be easily deactivated using the switch in the Autocredit settings. Click on the "Save changes" button to deactivate Autocredit and no further Credits purchases will be triggered automatically.

Autocredit can be re-enabled at any time using the switch in the Autocredit settings.

Failed Autocredit Purchase

An automatic purchase of credits via Autocredit can only be carried out successfully if the payment method is valid and accepted by the payment service provider at the time of purchase. Pingen has no influence on the verification of the payment method by the payment service provider.

If the purchase via the saved payment method fails, you will be notified in the Pingen WebApp as well as by email. In such cases, please check your available balance or credit limit and the validity of your payment method.

Pingen will make a total of 5 attempts and inform you of any further failures. If the third purchase attempt also fails, Autocredit will be deactivated automatically.

Recommended Safety Precautions

In order to limit the scope of Autocredit purchases due to unintended mailings (e.g. due to automated dispatch processes or operating errors), it is recommended to define a Monthly Send Limit in the configuration of the Pingen Organisation. How to configure a Monthly Send Limit
